I purchased this DVD produced by Laserlight as a taster of 50's musicals. There is certainly lots packed on this DVD. If you enjoy seldom seen cinema trailers, then this is for you. Many artists feature , such as Gene Kelly , Debbie Reynolds , Donald O'Connor and Fred Astair , my own particular favourite. The section on Fred Astair is worth the budget price of £9.99 alone. In one sequence , making use of , for the time , high tech camera trickery, Fred dances across the walls and ceiling. My only grouse with the DVD is that the sequences in the main programme are too short. Stick with the supplementary menus on featured artists and be selective and this is well worth adding to your collection. On the whole , I was slightly disappointed with the package as a whole which I feel could have been better done considering that there are many fans of Hollywood musicals out there and not much at the moment for them on DVD.However , the future is getting brighter with a number of films due for release.
