Hollywood Biographies - The Leading Ladies DVD

Advantages: Fantastic film, amazing acting
Disadvantages: in my opinion, average soundtrack

...Ray Lawrence's Lantana is a superbly crafted intellectual thriller which keeps viewers hooked even after the end credits, well acted by renowned Aussie actors Anthony Lapaglia (Without a Trace) Geoffery Rush (pirates of the Carribbean) and Barbara Hershey, (Portrait of a Lady) just to name a few. This suspensful thriller is not your average Police drama. This film is highly acclamed by critics and has won a total of 32 awards including awards from the Austra\lian film institue for Best Actor in a Leading Role, Best Actor in a Supporting Role Best Actress in a Leading Role Best Actress in a Supporting Role and Best Director. It has alsoe been nominated for a further 16 awards. The dvd also boasts some outstanding special feautes inculding cast biographies and interviews. i reccommed this as a must have for all film lovers.... Read review

Advantages: Stunning direction and a classic suspense story

DVD Features The Disc is as with the Collectors Edition of Vertigo packed full with features, it really does please me when a studio adds such an abundance of good features as are on display here. All About The Birds Feature Here is a superb documentary on the making and theories behind this classic, with interviews from the likes of Pat Hitchcock (Alfred’s Daughter), Robert Boyle (Production Designer), Evan Hunter (Screenwriter) and two very interesting interviews with Tippi Hedren (Leading Lady) and Rod Taylor (Leading Man).
