The plot may seem predictable with it's China v Japan nature but believe me this is fast action, gunfights and martial arts at it's best. Witness the high speed fight in the lift shaft. There are some dramatic twists which add to the story. The comic book violence may be shocking to some but it isn't displayed in a gory fashion - This is a great saturday night popcorn movie which all action buffs must see.
Hitman was one of the first films that I ever got on DVD, along with "Drive" (I have a review on it also).
Since buying the dvd, i've watched it a few times, and it isn't too bad...but it isn't entirely what you would come to expect from the now worldwide famous Jet Li.
As always, there are great action scenes in the film as you would expect.....but my gripe is that they far and few between, and when you eventually get to one they don't really ... ...isn't bad, you have a hitman (Jet Li) who deliberately misses his intended victims because of his 'sense of justice', so that in itself makes for interesting viewing...... as how else is he expected to earn a living if he doesn't do his job?
Well, all becomes apparent later on when he hooks up with his new agent, Sam (Eric Tsang) who helps him get the right jobs.
However... without going into too much detail on the whole story, as you are better ...

...Li is Tai Feng, a hitman with a habit of intentionally missing his intended victims. When an agent hires him to reap a $100 million rewards for the death of a top Japanese mobster, he finds himself faced with the ‘angel of death’, a hitman who punishes the bad. The scene is truly set for an awesome martial arts showdown. This film shows Jet Li at his best with the team that made Black Mask. With its mixture of drama, comedy and style, this is definitely ...

Advantages: Clear picture and good special effects Disadvantages: Not as good as other Jet Li films
Jet Li finds himself pitted against a huge number of baddies in this action packed martial artand gun fighting adventure. Lots of action and stunts keep the film entertaining with several humorous moments generally created by his useless side kick who is picked up on Li's journey of destruction. If your looking for a good story line or plot you may as well look else where, however if you looking for non stop action this film is certainly worth seeing ... ...this video solely because it starred Jet Li I was not disappointed, however it is by far not his best film, other films that I preferred staring Jet Li are Shoalin Temple one, two and three. The DVD extras are limited and basic but the clarity of the film allows the special effects to be appriated more than if purchased on video. ...

Hitman
I was actually unaware of this movie until I saw it last night. My husband suggested it as it was his turn for a boy?s movie but I have to admit that I really did like it.
Hitman is a 2007 movie which is actually based on a computer game series of the same name that I hadn?t heard of either! It stars one of my new favourite actors, Timothy Olyphant as the title character. I was not familiar with his name but recognised him as soon as he came on screen. I had seen him before in Die Hard 4 (Live Free or Die Hard) as the baddie so seeing him as the baddie in this film too made sense and he seemed to fit the role very well. He has quite dark, piercing scary eyes that really worked well on the character. He also has a shaved head which gave him a bit of an edge as a baddie and exposed a tattoo that was an integral part ...

hitman dvd
maybe it is strange thinking, though if you were an invisible hitman the last thing i would do after killing one hundred people in six different continents would be to tattoe myself with a computerised barcode, with data running to and from a computer. furthermore it also does not follow to shave your head off all hair and expose that barcode.
tim olyphant plays agent forty seven, an orphan and trained to kill. He is trained by an organisation who specialise in contract killings, and is only known by an organisation called the agency, known by all governments. agent forty seven, is involved in several killing scenes in this movie. By nature agent forty seven leaves his emotions behind, and is a professional and cold blooded killer. He uses the help of a prostitute olga kurylenko who is held in slavery by the brother ...
