HITCH - Desperately trying to win the affections of a society girl, Albert Brennaman calls in the services of Hitch, New York's premier dating doctor. Meanwhile, gossip columnist Sara Melas begins work to reveal more about the mysterious love doctor, only to discover that he is in fact the man she has been dating. JERRY MAGUIRE - Jerry Maguire, a slick, high-living sports agent, is tired of the shallowness of his profession and wants to live a more fulfilling life, however his new outlook doesn't mesh with his agency's ethics, and he is promptly fired. Left with a single friend, one client, and a long road ahead of him, Jerry discovers something more important than money. 50 FIRST DATES - Henry Roth (Adam Sandler) works at a Hawaiian Sea World park as a marine biologist. He enjoys the company of women and spends his time picking up tourists. One of the tourists he befriends is Lucy (Drew Barrymore) and unlike the rest of his flings, who only survive the afternoon, Henry is keen to meet up with her the next day. Unfortunately when the next day arrives, Lucy can't remember ever meeting Henry and he soon discovers that, following an accident, she suffers from short term memory loss. Every day he has to woo her again and again and trust that she falls in love with him every time.
Advantages: funnier than the average. Disadvantages: the sappy ending.
...I never saw 'Hitch' at the cinema when it first came out, so when I signed up to an online DVD rental service it was one of the first films I added to my list. I'd generally heard pretty good things about the film, one friend (a girl) saw it at the cinema and enjoyed it for the most part, apart from the overly cheesy ending, and another friend (a boy) described it as "really good". How articulate the male species are, eh.

Advantages: 3 great films in one Disadvantages: If you only wanted 2 of the films the third can be a pain to pay for
...These three films are all great in themselves- a mixture of the funny and light hearted- hitch- to the deeply heartfelt Closer, a portrayal of everyday relationships and betrayals.
I love Closer as a film- it's one slightkly out of the ordinary, one that makes you think and everyone i know who has seen it loves it.
Hitch is a good film, i would'nt say it is the best comedy filmi've seen but its good for a night in to just watch and enjoy the light hearted humour. There is a contrast here to Closer as this film is much more light viewing.
Jerrymaguire is a lovely film, well worth buying this for this film (and Closer).Sentimental perhaps but well researched and believeable and Tom Cruise is very admirable. Cuba Gooding Jnr is entertaining and the actors are all funny in this very worthwhile story about greed, the power & love of money....

Advantages: Drama/comedy -great acting performances Disadvantages: None. Anybody can watch it. A MUST SEE!!!!!!!

When I watch it I feel completely absorbed in the story. It grabs you and you can't not help but love it. Each character is fantastic. The director has got the best out of Cruise in this film, and when he is at his best you know it is a much watch.
"Conclusion"
This film was one of the best made in the 20th century. I know that all of you know this film already. However, this review is just to remind or persuade people to watch again or for the first time and to not miss out. A mix of drama and comedy is always exciting, and this film has got elements of both that are ingenious. JerryMaguire is 5 stars to anybody who watches no ifs or buts. This is truth. Watching once can be a great 2 hour ride, but for those lucky enough to see it again and again, the hours of enjoyment will be considerably longer. The film will entertain you no matter...
