Hitch
I am writing a review on the 2005 comedy Hitch Starring Will Smith as Hitch the Date Doctor who can get you the girl of your dreams in three date guaranteed.
The Film
Hitch is the Date doctor; he helps all men who are desperate to meet laydees to find them by teaching them how to talk to women and deal with them. One client of Hitch’s is Albert Brennaman played by TV star Kevin James. He is desperate for Hitch to help him get a date with Society Heiress Allegra Cole who he works with. So hitch gets to work and helps him get a date with her, and it works. Hitch then himself falls for a reporter Sara Melas played by Eva Mendes and he tries his hardest to get a date with her, and she finally gives in to his persistence. She is a reporter trying to find out more about the date doctor and he is the date doctor but she does not know that the man she is actually dating is he.
But when he is revealed and he is exposed, all hell breaks through and he has to forget all about work as he was keeping a low profile as he only wanted to help, not be in it for the money. So he looses his girl, his job and most of his clients as they also are revealed.
My Opinion
This is a very good film, 3 top actors and a model for the cast. It is quite funny and very romantic. Will smith is very charming in this romance comedy, you just have to love him, he makes people happy or at least he tries. You have to feel for him when his life was perfect having this low profiled job and then everything went horribly wrong for him. Eva Mendes is just lovely, she’s very beautiful, and plays the role well. She knows that hitch has a mysterious side but asks no questions. Kevin James, is hilarious, he’s a total comedian. He’s known anyway from being funny from his TV show “The kings of Queen” he is the shy man who is desperately in love with Allegra Cole but thinks he could never get a girl like that, until Hitch comes along. You just have to laugh
Very good film, very funny, you will love it. It’s a great film for all the family; it’s a 12 rating. The film contains only one use of strong language and moderate sex references.
Hope you enjoy this film – I did.

For a comedy, I found this overlong and uneven, though Smith is charming; best of all is Kevin James I think....do you watch "King of Queens?" Nice review! Chris x
