~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Why I brought the DVD ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I purchased High School Musical The Remix Edition as I loved High School Musical and was searching for the DVD everywhere but couldn't find it, the only DVD's available were the Remix Edition and the concert, so I picked up the remix edition and looked on the back to find out there are two versions on the DVD - the original and also a sing along version including many bonus features so I thought this sounded great - and I have not been dissappointed.
~~~~~~~~~~ About the DVD ~~~~~~~~~~
I loved it even better with the singalong version. I was worried that the whole film would be subtitled but only the words come up on screen when a song is being sang - this is great as everyone loves to sing along but no one quite knows the words!
If you love High School Musical or are thinking of seeing it for the first time this High School Musical Remix Edition is the DVD for you.
~~~~~~~~~~ About the film ~~~~~~~~~~
The story in High School Musical begins when Troy, the star basketball player of Eastside High School - The wildcats is thrown together
with Gabriella, a studious mathematics genius. They are both on family vacations and it is New Year, their parents put them both in a kids party and everyone there is having a karoke session, Troy and Gabriella are made to team up and sing together, at first they are both held back and shy but then really get into it and enjoy it - you can see a connection between them.
After the party they exchange numbers but do not see each other again.. that is until Gabriella turns up as the new girl at Troys school.
They both love singing but they have pressures on the basketball and maths and are forced to put their singing passion in the shadows. But then a school musical is announced and they are both interested much to the disgust of Troys basketball buddies and Gabriellas maths buddies and also Sharpay and Ryan - who have always been the lead role in school musicals and do not want anyone to get in their way!
High School Musical follows Troy and Gabriellas journey and them winning the parts. Throughout the film are songs which are great to singalong to.
~~~~~~~~~~~~ Bonus Feautures ~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Emmy Award winning, smash hit Disney Channel Original Movie everyone is talking about now features hours of extra new bonus features that you will love.
Extras include the High School Musical star-studded Hollywood Premiere, the High School Reunion where the cast reunites in an exclusive interview where they talk about how their lives have changed dramatically since being a part of High School Musical.
You can also stand up and experience the Dance Along, where Troy, Gabriella, Sharpay and Ryan give step by step instructions to the dance sequences - Getcha Head In The Game and We're All In This Together. This is fantastic fun, and me and my boyfriend had a right laugh trying to do the moves, they only show you the moves in slow speed, half speed and then full speed. You think after doing it in slow speed and just managing to do half speed (which is only slightly faster than slow speed) you will be fine doing it full speed, but it is so difficult. You need to rewind several times to learn it, so the DVD could do with showing you the moves a few more times, as I doubt not even the stars of the show could perfect the moves in 3 goes!
The DVD includes two exclusive remixed versions of Breaking Free and We're All In This Together and has three new videos you can watch. I tend to find when I want to play these, they stick, so end up having to watch them on my computer. I have tried playing them on two different DVD players incase there was a problem with mine but they both showed the same problem. I personally think that the original versions of these remixed versions of Breaking Free and We're All In This Together are much better. A fantastic feature I thought the DVD extras could have included was all the songs from the show.
The Bonus Features on this DVD include: 2 versions of the movie - Original and Sing Along; Dance Alongs; Remixes of the songs Breaking Free and We're All In This Together; "Eres Tu" Music Video; A High School Reunion; A Hollywood Premiere; Bring It All Together; Learning The Moves and Music Videos. All these bonus feauture can be shown in most languages.

~~~~~ Verdict ~~~~~
This DVD is a must see for anybody especially as it is has a certificate of U, small children, teenagers and adults - it is highly entertaining, fun and a light watch for anyone up from anything thats not too serious, I love this and I'm 20, aswell as my boyfriend and some of his friends and all my friends rave about it. I would really recommend this DVD for anyone, and would recommend it over the original DVD, as the sing along version is fantastic fun!
Sorry for the H, but if this is to be a full DVD review, I would prefer to see a review of the extras in similar detail to the way you've reviewed the film, rather than just a list of them.
