The Film.... Whilst on holiday a popular basketball guy Troy has to stand up and sing with the intelligent beautifull Gabriella, they both hit it off straight away and realise that they are good when they sing together. When Troy gets home he dosent think much more of it until he notices Gabriella has moved to the same school has him! This makes him think about singing but hes worried about what all of his friends will think, in the end Troy and Gabriella audition for the main roles in the school musical much to the dismay of Ryan and Sharpay the brother and sister that have been acting together since they were children.
The Music..... The music is like most music in a musical its mostly all pop music, all the songs however are catchy and its hard to get them out of your head once there in. There are 9 songs performed in the film so its full of music (as you would expect from a music). On the CD though there is a few extra songs most of them the same song but in a different version and there is one song that is not in the film.
Opinions.... When this was first aired on TV i refused to watch it because i thought it was going to be another cheesy film which i cant stand, but as a few weeks went on i kept hearing this song and my sister told me it was from high school musical! so i thought well ill give the film a go and i personally thought it was good, i have watched it a few times and listened to album many times. It wasnt one of the best films ive seen but it was made for a much younger person than i am, and i guess just watchin this reminded me of what high school was like enjoying times with my friends.
