The two main characters in High School Musical are: Zac Efron - A young disney actor just coming into the 'big time', he is also appears in the programs E.R, The Guardian, Csi: Miami and many more and has also been in a couple of movies. Vanessa Anne Hudgens - A young disney actress, also plays roles in the movies Thirteen, Thunderbirds and appears in a lot of disney pragrams, such as Drake and Josh. In this movie they both deliver an above average performance, but they create a magical movie together and make it soo much better when the sing.
This movie is an example of what other kids movies should be like, it captures attention, it's gripping and shows true happenings in life. This movie is about two people (Gabriella and Troy) who are interested in opposite things and never thought of singing before. They meet at a New years party, at which there is a kareoke, the next part is obvious, but for anyone who can't imagine what would happen, they both get chosen to do a duet and sound amazing together. After, singing they talk and exchange numbers, then separate after an awkward moment to find thier parents. After that night they never thought they would see each other again.
Soon after that, Gabriella moves cities and ends up moving to the same school as Troy, but neither of them will sing because Troy is a popular basketball player and Gabriella wants to catch up school work. They both try to avoid it, but in the end it was inevitable, they end up auditioning for the winter musical.
Although this movie is quite predictable, it is still one of the best kids movies i've seen and i also know a lot of other adults that like it too.
