Advantages: All the gripping Tintin cartoons in one smashing box Disadvantages: The theme tune will get stuck in your head
...Tintin is a series of comic books written and illustrated by the famous Belgian 'Herge'. These delightful stories are about a young reporter called Tintin and his faithful dog / sidekick Snowy. Tintin and snowy alway appear to get themselves into all sorts of sticky (and dangerous) situations with mobsters, the mafia and other such criminal ruffians. Highly entertaining stuff, with a few highly entertaining friends thrown in for good measure. Friends of Tintin that feature regularly are Professor Calculus (highly intelligent and profoundly deaf) and the memorable Captain Haddock (who is a little slow witted sometimes, and says a range of colourful, yet suitable for young ears, expletives).
This is an absolute MUST for all Tintin fans. This most excellent box set contains the cartoon series in its entirity, that is over 14 hours! It...

Advantages: The three original adventures for our plastercine friends Disadvantages: Limited edition tin is a rip-off
...It would be hard to find anyone who hasn't seen any of the Wallace and Gromit films, at least in Britain anyway.
Wallace, inventor and handyman, loves cheese and crackers, Wenslydale, a favourite. Eccentric and highly exciteable.
Gromit, faithful pooch, voice of common sense, often has to resolve some of his owners mishaps. Also loves cheese and crackers.
Wallace and Gromit : Three Cracking Adventures, is a box set of the first three films from Nick Park, and his team, using plastercine and stop-frame animation. Below is a short run-down of the films:
A Grand Day Out, the first adventure see's Wallace and Gromit head off to the moon, (because everyone knows the moon is made of cheese), in a rocket built by Wallace. Whilst there, they meet a lonely vending machine, who initially is upset that the visitors are cutting up the moon...

Advantages: Absorbing and interesting, you learn without feeling you are taught Disadvantages: Lack of additional features
...This series two years in the making sees Nigel Marvin travelling back in time to collect prehistoric animals before they are made extinct and bringing them back to a sort of Jurassic Park.
The difference in this series and many others is the energy and then stemming from that the believability that the host/Actor Nigel Marvin brings to the role.
Nigel Marvin brings his experience of previous wildlife productions to the roll (a few are shart kweek, Big Cats, Animal Detectives and rhinos but there are many more) which makes the experience all the more believable and credible.
On the DVD's there are six episodes each of which revolves around a different prehistoric adventure as Nigel sets out captures, and cages these interesting creatures. The DVD also looks at the extinctions of the mammoths, sabre tooth cats and of course...
