Music / Performing Arts, Comedy - Director: Trevor Nunn, Geoffrey Posner - Original Language: English - Classification: 15 years and over, Parental Guidance - Starring: Duncan Preston, Celia Imrie, Julie Walters, Victoria Wood, Jim Broadbent
Advantages: Educational, entertaining and historical. Disadvantages: Iambic pentameter isn't for everyone. Almost no extra features.
Henry V is available on DVD in a 1989 production directed by, and starring, Kenneth Branagh. This is a direct and edgy story about England?s war with France in which the flower of the French aristocracy were slaughtered in the mud of Agincort beneath a rain of arrows from English longbow men.
Derek Jacobi is the chorus who introduces the stage on which this ?muse of fire? will burn, and it is a modern one with electric lights and props. I?ve seen many great plays lessened by attempts to insert images and allusions of contemporary culture none of which have the slightest relevance. Thankfully ? mercifully ? this is not. Once Jacobi pushes open the doors on that modern set we go into a believable world in period costume and make-up appropriate to the historical tale that is about to unfold.

Advantages: Suction is brilliant. Disadvantages: Looks are a little industrial.

This review is on the very robust Henry Numatic model HVR 200. You will know it as soon as you see it as it has a smiley face, and comes in four colours, red green blue & yellow, well now they have added another to the range - PINK!!! Technically this one is called HETTY, but it is identical otherwise.
The shape is cylindrical, but not laid down, it is upright, like an oil drum, and has a buffer ring surrounding it, which does not mark walls. It is mounted on castors, and so is easy to move about.
As for the suction, I can only say it is brilliant, the cable is wound up neatly in it's own drum, all tools are there, the machine itself is light enough to be carried up the stairs, what more could you want in a cleaner?
There is of course a down side, but not much of one, for instance it is not easy to vacuum the stairs as ...
Advantages: Great story, good actng, good music Disadvantages: Hugh Grant's vocals are average
predictable and both me and hubby had worked the ending out after only watching about the first half hour but this did not really bother either of us and it was still nice to watch.
The music in the film was very good and I did like some of the old 80?s songs which were played and also the current tracks. I think this added a lot to the film. The film was set in the present day so not much time and effort was needed for the settings and costumes and they all did look very nice and fitted in well with the story. I did find the shots which were supposed to have been from the 80?s looked authentic and the costumes were great and they certainly showed what crazy clothes people used to wear!
The DVD which we have does have some bonus material which includes:-
