Help! I'm Having A Baby DVD

...Dirty Dancing is fantastic and will have you tapping your feet the whole way through I stronlgy recommend this film as it has been my favourite for years from a very young age and is suitable for all different generations with a gripping love story between baby and johnny castle and music you cant help but move your feet to. The dertermination of babys father to keep baby and johnny apart after babys change of character also makes this film must see viewing. The various dancing types makes the film interesting and very fun to watch. If your enjoy dancing yourself as I then this film will really get your taste buds tingling. ...I bought this DVD in Asda for £5.99 which I thought was quite good value,considering similar educational DVDs are usually around £12. This DVD is all about letters and the idea of the DVD is to help young children associate letters with familiar objects. Each letter of the alphabet is shown but as a capital, not lower case, which children are supposed to learn first. Then toys, animals or objects which start with the featured letter appear on the screen. Music is played in the background to help engage young children further. This DVD is aimed at children ages 1-4 and it does have some educational uses, but I question to what extent the children benefit from it. It may be useful when kids are learning their capital letters, helping them to link words and letters. It does not teach letter sounds which is the way children letter... Read review

Advantages: Comic actors create a fun atmosphere
Disadvantages: The film drags out the plot without any real twists

...Having seen the film Maybe Baby, I have noted that it is not all that it appears to be. It has it's funny moments, but unfortunately all of them can be seen by watching commercials! Having some of the most talented comedians should have helped the story, however the lack of a serious plot was undermining. The film may appeal to those Ben Elton fans out there but I was unimpressed! The hype created before the film may make you think that this film is a must-see, but my advice is to leave it until it comes out on video as it is not worth the money to only see it once. Ben Elton creates a film close to his heart, but the Brit-flick was a disappointment due to the lack of real plot, humour and acting "skills".... Read review
