...This DVD brings you the first episode from the Hellsing OVA (original video animation). Originally there was a 13 episode anime of Hellsing but this strayed from the original Manga which the anime is based on. Hellsing ultimate is still in development but there are currently three episodes each of which are fifty minutes. Fans have praised Hellsing Ultimate due to its better representation of the characters and storylines. Story The story follows the adventures of the Hellsing Corporation in Britain. Advantages: An anime with a dark tone, engaging.
Disadvantages: Not much.

...as a vampire. From then onwards the story intensifies. At only 13 episodes Hellsing is quite exciting and has an engaging plotline. Adorning the sturdy DVD casing is spectacular artwork that perfectly conveys the dark nature of the story, it was one of the things that caught my eye in the first place. The DVD features themselves are not that special , the usual audio and scene selections are there along with episode selection. The language is in English but there is the option for Japanese dubbing and the menu is rendered nicely in 3D and looks and sounds pretty atmospheric. Advantages: intense and amazing
Disadvantages: gore and violence

...In a lot of anime films, there is always something quite special about that amazing blend of the unusual and the impressive that can make it quite amazing . And yet, when any anime fan sees something that not only is quite intense visually in a lot of ways but impressive, the results can be both amazing and supreme to see. Which is the case of this DVD, Hellsing : Impure Souls. Set in London, this first of the series carefully introduces the lead characters while not rushing to conclusions early. First there is Alucard, both vampire and somewhat of a different take from the normal hero , albeit that he mostly arises and deals with villains at night.
