DVD Description
The spine chilling tale of a man brought partially back to life by the blood of his brother. He befriends his sister-in-law who agrees to supply the blood he requires to live, but he is still haunted by the evil forces which held him captive in death.
Adapted from his own novel. 'Hellbound Heart', HELLRAISER marked the directorial debut of British horror writer Clive Barker. Barker's direction—which comes across like the perfect fusion of the themes and aesthetic sensibilities of Dario Argento and David Cronenberg's best work—is assured, and the film permeates with a unique combination of the perverse and macabre. A modest success at the time of release, HELLRAISER spawned a slew of sequels and would elevate its villain, Pinhead, to the pantheons of classic horror monsters.

...[The film] has several twists for the devotees of gore to delight in...[It] is well made, well acted, and the visual effects are generally handled with skill... (Variety, 04/02/2009)
Advantages: Good film with excellent special effects Disadvantages: none
...good and evil, but with cutting edge special effects and action scenes galore this is a great film to watch.
The blu-ray version i watched was a 2 disc set with the second disc full of extras. There was a section on the history of transformers, and interviews with executive producers Steven Spielberg and Brian Goldner, writers Alex Kurtzman and Robert Orci, and director Michael Bay. There were also features on the animation used and the way they worked out where to do scenes. You also get a look at the military equipment seen and used in the film.
This additional information is something you do not want to skip over, because it gives you a much deeper understanding of how much planning and work went into the final production. If you are into cutting edge special effects and head banging action then beg, borrow, rent, or if that fails buy...

Advantages: Rhino, Blu-ray and DVD with Rhino toy, good family watch Disadvantages: Similar to other animated films
...***Introduction***
Bolt is the latest movie made by Disney and so I decided to recently purchase this movie and see what all the fuss was about. This version was only a couple of quid more than the normal DVD and I purchased mine from TheHut (which I have reviewed very recently) and this includes the Blu-ray disc with special features, the film on DVD as well which is worth over £10 and a Rhino soft toy! (the excellent and very funny hamster in the movie) So I obviously decided to buy the Blu-ray!
***Plot***
Bolt and his owner Penny are the stars of a massive TV show with Bolt being the main character. To make everything appear more realistic Bolt must not know that this is just a show and not real and so he believes everything around him is real. When Penny is captured by the evil green eyed man he escapes over night to try...

Advantages: unbelievable visuals, stunning high definition, best wildlife series by far Disadvantages: only one - last disc isn't HD
...Excellent value for money now you can pick this up for less than £25, I got mine from Play.com but you can find it on most online shops now, Amazon, eBay, etc.
Stunning visuals and filmography coupled with David Attenborough's classic and informative narration, all add up to this unbelievably well made and engaging series, possibly the greatest wildlife/nature series ever made.
Make sure you have a HDTV to watch this on for the best experience, as it really does need to be seen to be believed.
Unfortunately, disc 5 is only a standard definition DVD, which is the only thing stopping this fantastic series getting 5 stars from me. However, don't let this put you off, as disc 5 is only the making of, and similar featurettes, meaning all nature footage is in HD on BluRay disc.
As a side note, you will obviously need a BluRay player (PS3...
