around her. Heidi lives with her Grandfather in the beautiful mountains of Switzerland where she loves playing with her shepherd friend Peter and frolicking in the meadow with the goats. She is such a bright and happy girl that she even manages to turn her grandfather from a bitter old hermit into a kind and loving man. Then one day Heidi's aunt takes her away from the mountains to live in the city with a family whose crippled daughter Klara needs a companion. Heidi misses her grandfather and her home and everything she does seems to get her into trouble with her stern governess. But Heidi doesn't give up and before long her positive attitude wins everyone over as she even takes Klara to visit her mountain home and helps her learn to walk! One of the most uplifting and inspiring of all children's stories this wonderful new animated version will be a welcome addition to any family collection.
