This 1995 action epic was directed by Michael Mann and is studded with mega stars, including Al and Bob together for the first time.
Starring: Al Pacino - Vincent Hanna Robert De Niro - Neil McCauley Val Kilmer - Chris Shiherlis Jon Voight - Nate Tom Sizemore - Michael Cheritto Diane Venora - Justine Hanna Amy Brenneman - Eady Ashley Judd - Charlene Shiherlis
Neil McCauley is a very professional thief, and Vincent Hanna is an extremely volatile LAPD cop. McCauley and his crew go through the movie hitting 'scores' (jobs) with Hanna getting closer and closer behind them. Both McCauley and Hanna will 'stop at nothing' to do what they do best even though it puts there personal lives in complete turmoil.
The technical side of the movie is outstanding, McCauley is extremely proficient and Hanna is extremely streetwise. The daylight bank robbery scene shot on a road is one of the best shooting scenes I have ever seen, and was apparantly correographered by the SAS.
De Niro and Pacino both put in top class performances, and supprted by great performances throughout the cast. If you haven't yet seen it then you really have missed out, I can't believe it had no awards.
Basically the movie examines the life of two extraordinary men as they play cat and mouse created havoc through LA.
