Edward Dalyngrigge to conclude that building a castle here would form an excellent second line of defence on this strategic route north.
In October 1385 Dalyngrigge received a Royal Licence to "Strengthen with a wall of stone and lime, and crenellate and, construct and make into a castle his manor house in Bodyham, near the sea, in the county of Sussex, for defence of the adjacent country, and, resistance to our enemies."
Sir Edward's manor house was, as we have already seen, situated in a different place to that in which, in 1385 he started to build what we now know as Bodiam Castle. He chose the best possible strategic position, overlooking the wharfs and bridge spanning the Rother, a position from which the enemy could easily be detected coming from the south - to the north were hills anyway.

I stayed at DreamCastle last year on a weekend trip to Disneyland Paris. It was my second option but looking at the website I decided that it was really beautiful and just what we were looking for.
We had been up since 3am and arrived at the hotel at 11am thinking that we would be able to get into our rooms straight away, have a shower and then go to Disney. The receptionist seemed slightly rude towards us and told us that someone hadn't checked out of our room yet so we had to wait. We left our bags with the hotel and went to Disney. We came back at 4pm extremely tired, went to our rooms and stayed there the rest of the evening.
The room didn't look like it was supposed to to me. I had looked on the site and saw the bedrooms and the picture was completely different to our room. They have updated it now though. The room was ...

Sydney's IMAX Theatre in Darling Harbour is home to the world's largest movie screen at a whopping 80 storeys high! The building itself is the shape of an eye, decorated in yellow and black aluminium checks, which was designed by and Australian architect by the name of Lionel Glendinning. The IMAX Theatre shows films in both 2D and 3D although it's not like your conventional cinema screenings.
IMAX is open 365 days a year and shows films on the hour, every hour, from 10am until 10pm. The cinema seats 540 people at a time and there is plenty of leg room.
The screen is made from vinyl which is painted with a reflective silver coating, stretched over scaffold frames. The films are projected on 15 perforation/70mm film which means nothing to me but is apparently the largest film format that exists today and the 3D projector uses 2 ...
