fristly, i'd like to start off by comparing all four films to the books. The thing with books is that it can explain and describe things a film cannot, for example if you compare the davinci code book to the film, the characters are described in more detail. So in that aspect the book is ofcourse better, but if you dont want to spend time reading and you just want to watch the film, then i have to say that they are very good.
The first film starts off getting to know the characters. The ending is quite stupid but kids will be kids!! :-). then the second film, in my opinion, is quite similiar to the first one, meaning that you can start from the second one and miss out the first one and there won't be any difference! but the story is different and much more interesting, kind of a mystery theme going on there!! The third film is when it gets a bit interesting, and thats when they are all grown up!!! it feels a bit weird as the boys' voice changes and its kind of like a slap in the face! The fourth one so far is the BEST!! when i read the book i couldnt wait for the film to come out!! and it was worth the wait as it was soo interesting and fun and well actually a bit sad.. Now im waiting for the fifth one as that will be even better.

Summary:

the whole series is about a wizard boy called Harry Potter. One day his parents were killed in front of his eyes, (when he was just a baby) by an extremely powerful dark lord called 'lord voldemort'. When Voldemort killed his parents he also tried to kill Harry, but something happened that somehow Harry repelled his spells and made Voldemort weaker; at the end harry was left with a scar on his forehead caused by voldemort. Till now, he has been living with his uncle's horrible family who treat him really badly and every year for a certain period of time he goes to magic school where he practices all his magic crap, his school is called 'hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry'.

Now, everyone has heard about what Harry did with Voldemort and they are so amazed that he somehow repelled the power, so harry is very well known, but because of this voldemort is angry and wants to get revenge so he is set out to kill Harry. So all the films are about how voldemort tries to kill harry and how harry always wins with the help of his friends...awww....:-)

Now ill leave it up to you to watch and decide how you like it...hope you find this useful!
