This is an excellent classic Adam Sandler film filled with slapstick and great humour. This film will make you laugh everytime you see it. Perfect for any golf fan or just someone up for a laugh.
**Storyline** Adam Sandler plays Happy Gilmore a wannabe hockey player who has the ability to drive a golf ball 450yards!!! He ends up taking up golf in a fight to get money to earn back his grandmas reposessed house. This leads him to making up a rivalry with the Tiger Woods of the show shooter Mcgavin. I wont spoil the rest of the story by giving to much more away.
This is a great film that can be watched on a rainy day as the jokes never grow old. Also as it was released in 1996 the price of the dvd has dropped rapidly from the usual dvd price of £12 - £15. Like all of Adam Sanders films (Waterboy, Big Daddy) the slapstick comedy is in a class of its own and if you have enjoyed any of these films this would be perfect for you. It has a classic ' good guy comes out on top theme' which is always nice.
Overall quality film with few cases of strong language and mild violence, hence its 12 rating.
