Having watched all of Adam Sandlers films, this is probably his second funniest. (I rate Little Nicky as funniest). The plot is basically this: Adam Sandler plays a young lad who's dream is to be a champion ice hockey player. He can't skate and can't control the puck, but has one hell of a swing. He has a very fiery temper ever since his father died a while before and attacks anyone that annoys him. He now lives with his Nan, who hasn't paid her council tax for over a decade, and has her house repossessed. If Happy can't make $300,000 in 60 days then her house and all her possessions will be taken away. Happy takes to golfing to make some money with his 400 yard swings, even though he thinks golf is really, really sad. He starts at his local golf club, betting people he can hit it so far for $10 etc. Then he decides to do the league the next day, what happens next is a trip through the championships, of a lad determined to save his grandma's home and make as much money as possible. A tale of anger, love, determination and learning patience which is hilarious, especially the fits of anger and frustration which Happy experiences. And all the time he plays wearing typical American high school wear, the baggy trousers, baseball shirt, cap and does he look the part!! Well recommended to watch with your mates, funny and touching at the same time!

Advantages: Hilarious comedy starring sandler, before he became super popular. Disadvantages: You won't like it if you don't like his other movies styles.

Advantages: Fun for all ages, a great bit of light-hearted relief. Disadvantages: No major ones at all, but why couldn't they make the film longer, or at least a sequel
