Happy Gilmore. Well this is typical Adam Sandler, but then every one of his films seems to be funny and Happy Gilmore is not an exception at all. Basically Happy Gilmore (Sandler) is a wannabe ice hockey star but just can’t make the grade. Then he finds that his Grannie’s house is being taken he wants to earn some money. After discovering that he can drive a golf ball further than most others he is taken under the wing of an old golf player (Carl Weathers) and wins a golf tournament. His hilarious on course antics make him a crowd pleaser and although not a very successful golfer he soon starts to make some money to save up enough to buy the house. The seasoned pro golfer “Shooter” has a problem with him and the two meet in a head to head rivalry. This film is yet another Sandler’s great moments, it’s fantastic. And don’t worry if you hate golf, it’s not important at all, the film will still have you in stitches.

Advantages: Hilarious comedy starring sandler, before he became super popular. Disadvantages: You won't like it if you don't like his other movies styles.

Advantages: Fun for all ages, a great bit of light-hearted relief. Disadvantages: No major ones at all, but why couldn't they make the film longer, or at least a sequel
