Anthony Hopkins was as fantastic as ever, and I am certainly not knocking Julianne Moore's performance, but it just wasnt the same without Jodie Foster.
In Silence of the Lambs she had such a bond with Lector, you just couldnt see the same connection with Moore. It would have made the film if Foster had not have turned down the role.
Other than that, it was a great film.
Hannibal, having taken on a new identity as a curator in Florence, Italy, is forced out into the open by an Italian police detective who hopes to collect the $3 million award being offered by Lectors only surviving victim, a convicted child molester(who also jsut happens to be a billionaire).
Some scenes were certainly very shocking to watch, and unexpected. It keeps you on the edge of your seat at all times.
Hannibal has a strange way of(although being a psychotic killer) making you feel sorry for him, and being an almost loveable man. Its quite scary if you think about it lol

Advantages: Great film, will attract alot of viewers and make the producers alot of money Disadvantages: They will end up making another film, which, by most definitions will ruin the previous films in the series
