Advantages: the movie dvd is not so expensive Disadvantages: the Columbia/Tristar version of the film which cuts out the first 10 minutes
...into the world, that things get a bit haphazard. He is befriended by a family of restaurant workers (including the aforementioned Chiang Kam and Doris Lung, who would go on to feature in Half a Loaf of Kung Fu) and helps them out of a few scrapes with a gang of thugs (which includes a young Yuen Biao). From here on in, it's a standard Kung Fu movie, and not a very memorable one at that. Jackie finds the killer of his father and the two duel to the death. The action choreography is passable and occasionally pretty good with Chan throwing in some flips and some other impressive acrobatics, but sadly there's nothing to pump the adrenaline through the veins....

Advantages: Fantastic action sequences, Jet LI Disadvantages: Dumb plot, some may find the violence a little hard to stomach
..., a word of warning ( or recommendation, whatever cooks your goose), this movie is unremittingly violent and the violence is bloody in the extreme. People are kung-fu’d to death in a variety of manners, bones are snapped, bodies are riddled with bullets, hand grenades are used to separate torsos from lower limbs, and you do not want to know what Jet Li can do with a pair of chopsticks.
As I’ve mentioned already the rest of the movie was just padding and added nothing to it, so if you don’t like violent actions movies avoid.
Avoid would have been a good bit of advice for Bridget Fonda as she is completely wasted here. Her part is criminally under written and she looks completely lost for the most part. I guess she needed the cash, or else felt she was due a favour to Luc Besson after her part in the abysmal re-make of his...

Advantages: Great Gig, Great Xtras Disadvantages: Visual Quality Poorer than expected.
...Live after death is simply one of the best known live releases from the band. It is simply one of the best 80s performances by the band but not the best in my opinion, as fantastic as live after death is i still preferred maiden england and Somewhere on Tour only because the range of songs is larger by the inclusion of somewhere in time and seventh son, and the quality of the gigs are better. That takes me to the quality of live after death on DVD. There is no doubt the sound has been remastered to excellence but the visuals do look a bit too grainy compared to the effort put into the sound. The extras on the DVD are really good and contain quite a bit of extra content but again the quality of the extras is poor especially the added Rock in Rio 85 extra in which the quality is poor but it wasn't a remastered edition. Overall live after...
