What a surprisingly good film for a 'Super hero' type film. Will Smith Plays Hancock a drunken bum with super powers and who is indestructible.... for now.
Will doesn't want to be a hero, he just wants to get drunk and be left alone but those damn criminals will keep upsetting him. And whatever happens do not call him an A***hole because he likes to stick your head somewhere dark, smelly and well lets just say its not very nice.
He eventually gets his act together when he meets Ray who smartens him up and does a great PR job on him and for him. Ray takes him in and gives him a good meal and shows Hancock some real friendship, however Rays house holds a more startling secret.......... No you will just have to watch it and watch it more than once you will, it really is that good.
The special effects in this movie really are S-T-A-T-E of the art. The train sequence, the flying car thingy all the jumping around and flying are excellent to see and experience. There was a sound track of sorts but it never impinged on the film neither did it really compliment the atmosphere. The dialog was of course superb and the plot of the movie never slackened as it rolled along. There really has to be another movie, surely a sequel is in the offing. If you have missed this then make the effort to see it ASAP. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
