This is another film that I would say is not the greatest film that I have seen, but it is definately far from the worst that I have seen too, I went to see this at the cinema on Orange Wednesday as I like the films that Will Smith is normally in.
Hancock is a film with Will Smith who plays John Hancock a superhero type character as he has super powers, but he is also an alcoholic who causes millions of dollars in damage whenever he bothers to try to help fight crime, so he is hated by the public as he is seen as a waste of space as everything he does goes wrong.
He one day saves the life of a PR agent named Ray played by Jason Bateman and Ray decides to look after him by improving Hancock's image, by suggesting that he goes to prison for his lawless behaviour and the idea is that once he is in prison, the crime rate will go up and people will start realising Hancock might be valuable after all.
Charlize Theron plays Rays wife Mary and the three of then get involved in a love triangle, whilst fighting some criminals that John Hancock had put behind bars are seeking revenge, will Hancock survive.
Then comes the twist and it is something that you will definitely not see coming and it is left open for a sequel so there may be more to this story, but I will not spoil it for you.
This is a great story and very entertaining, but if it is a non-stop action flick you are looking for this is not the one for you. It contains a variety of romance, action and with a small amount of comedy so it has something for everyone. The special effects are great and well worth watching.
Charlize Theron and Will Smith are great actors in this film and play the roles they are given really well. The script is well written but I think that it requires some more details to make this a film that is great.

I see this has been posted in the category for the Blu-Ray DVD, but mentions nothing about the new Blu-Ray format. Given that this has been posted in this specialised category, I would like to know about the quality of the new format.
