DVD Description

In 'Rasputin' the evil monk works his satanic power over the women in the Tsar's palace where even the Tsarina cannot escape. In 'Frankenstein Created Woman' Baron Frankenstein places the soul of a murdered man into the dead body of his lover. 'The Vengeance Of She' tells the story of a mysterious woman who is possessed by the spirit of a dead queen and given shelter by a crazy millionaire. In 'The Plague Of The Zombies' a sadistic squire dabbles in voodoo rituals, resurrecting rotting corpses as slaves in an old eerie Cornish village. 'Quatermass And The Pit' tells the story of workmen who unearth prehistoric skulls whilst carrying out excavations on the London Underground. 'To The Devil A Daughter' is Dennis Wheatley's occult chiller which tells of two men locked in deadly battle over possession of a young innocent for the 'Children Of The Lord' cult.

The Hammer Collection Box Set
Review of The Hammer Collection (Box Set) (DVD) by  spacavoy

Advantages: An aesthetically pleasing collection
Disadvantages: Some rather poor inclusions

...A selection of classic Hammer films from the very good to...not so good. An aesthetically pleasing set for fans of the studio, or those wanting at least half of the titles. Features star favourites Peter Cushing, Raquel Welch, Ursula Andress and Christopher Lee (about whom there is an interesting documentary with 'Scars of Dracula'). The extra features vary greatly, the biggest ommission, in my opinion, is the total absence of subtitles for the hearing impaired. For those who are interested all films are anamorphic, some for the first time, and completely uncut. My personal favourite was the inclusion of the 1965 film 'The Nanny' which stars a very chilling Bette Davis in a well scripted, and often overlooked role. Probably a tad overpriced for most, but new DVD versions of individual films are also available, so take... Read review

An eerie, creepy collection of horror's!
Review of Hammer House Of Horror - Complete (DVD) by  kiss_me2070

Advantages: Great eerie, creepy films, Good actors, Eerie music
Disadvantages: No special effects, Simple storlines

...***HAMMER HOUSE OF HORROR*** I remember watching some of this series on the television when I was quite young and there was something eerie and creepy which made me enjoy watching this series every week. The series was shown on ITV, which ran for 13 weeks, each showing a different episode and story each week. Each programme was an hour long. Some of the actors who feature in these films are Peter Cushing, Denholm Eliot, Diana Dors, Brian Cox, Sian Philips and Pierce Brosnan. Horror fans will enjoy this series which includes Werewolves, Demons, Witches and Voodoo Dolls. These alternative bedtime stories sparked millions on sleepless nights when they were originally screened and they still remain as scary as ever. ***THE BOX SET*** The Hammer House of Box Set is available from Amazon and HMV for about £11.99 which includes all 13... A box full of horror.
Review of Horror (Box Set) (DVD) by  promos_123

Advantages: For the lovers of horror movie of the past.
Disadvantages: This is definetely not the last film out.

...It is not only for the two great disc you may find in, but for the extra and features you will find I am suggesting you to buy this comboc Cd: it worths the value to buy it. For the suggestive sense of horrors of the past, we may see now how the sense of horror have been changing along the past years. In this box you will find five horror movie of the past: take a step back into the past, and discover how spectators got thrilled in the past times. All in all this combo set of two Cd is a bargain: for the suggested price you may find just one new movie, but is a b movie is what you are looking to, you should take up this opportunity and buy this set....
