Halloween is the definition of terror. The Night He Came Home. Michael Myers, the scariest slasher of them all! Forget Freddy vs Jason, this is where the real screams lie. Halloween came out in 1978 and terrified an entire world and went on to become one of the scariest movies of all time. In the movie Michael Myers is stalking a teenager, Laurie Strode, played by Jamie Lee Curtis. The next installment followed quickly with the revelation that Lauie Strode is Michael Myers sister! The third movie doesn't include Michael Myers at all, it's about an evil mask maker trying to kill Americas children on Halloween night. It was a direction the makers of the movies were going to try to go in, making a different Halloween movie each time but the fans begged for the return of Michael.

He returned in the terrifying Halloween 4 and Halloween 5, stalking his niece, Jamie Lloyd, the daughter of Laurie Strode. Halloween 6 introduced us to the thorn. An idea that michael was being controlled by a cult. It was a very interesting take on Michael but i didn't think it worked although i loved the movie. The brilliant Halloween H20 came next which picks up 20 years later after the first movie. Laurie Strode is the headmistress of a private school and has changed her name to Keri Tate. Michael inevitably tracks her down which leads to one of the best big screen showdowns of all time. There's something very sexy about Jamie Lee Curtis wielding an axe! Next came Halloween Resurrection which is undoubtedly the worst Halloween movie of all. I have to be truthful. The only part worth watching is first twenty minutes which include Jamie Lee Curtis and Michael Myers in a chase. The next hour and 10 mins of the movie is just drivel.

I am a massive fan of the Halloween series so i was looking forward to this boxset last christmas! I have to say that i was impressed and dissapointed at the same time. The impressive sides to this boxset is of course that you get all eight movies in one box. That is Untill number 9 comes out next October 2007! You get some decent extras like a commentary by Jamie Lee Curtis, John Carpenter and Debra Hill on the first movie and on the Halloween H20 disc (which in my opinion is the best Halloween installment and the best horror film of all time) you get a very in depth look at the making and history of the movies. Halloween Ressurection also has a wide array of features which will keep you entertained. The dissapointing sides to the boxset are the bad picture quality on some of the movies. Well, they're not bad but they could have been transferred better. Also the fact that there aren't hardly any features for the movies between number 2 and 6 is dissapointing.

Overall, it's a very nice collection to have on display but if you allready own the movies separately you're not going to find anything new in this boxset.

Good review. Contrary to the bottom review, you do talk about the films. Whether or not you edited it to include that I will never know, but this was very informative to me
