What can be said, that hasn't been already said. H5 at the heart of it is a weak sequel. Especially after a good showing with H4.
It's not the worst of the sequels, but it's down "there".
It fits the stereotypical horror movie mold well. It's a basic cookie-cutter horror movie [sequel] slapped together with the usual fortey of stalking, red herrings, unnecessary sex scenes, and perhaps worst of all, it actually rips off the "Friday The 13th" sequel. Which I've always felt were 20,000 leagues below the Halloween series.
Sad is what it is. The opening credit sequence runs for no more than three minutes, and scarily, it's the best part of the film. Too bad about the rest of the film.
Sore is what it is. This is getting old. The series does not benefit from sequels like this. Sooner of later, people are going to get tired of knowing very well that Michael is never dead, there's going to be a designated surviver [for the next sequel of course!], and the ending will smell of sequel.
Even poor 'ol Donald can't even save this one.
