Like Halloween 2 this is a film that suffers from being connected to the great Halloween. However unlike Halloween 2 this film is completely deserving of its' bad reception. The main problem with this movie is the title - for all Michael Myers fans this film was a massive letdown - why had Mr Myers been replaced with "that old guy from Robocop", Stonehenge and some other confusing bits. That said, even if this film had been named "Killer Masks from Space" or something similarly schlocky it would still have been critically and commercially reviled - the problem with this film really is just that I had major problems understanding it - one minute someone's head is ripped off, then a mask makes a little kids head turn to worms and then a rock from Stonehenge is being used to take over the world - what!!!! Despite some good performanes {including Halloween's own Nancy Kyes} this film falls flat on its face and not even a shock ending can save it.
