Advantages: Loads of action Disadvantages: Perfect Anime, nothing wrong with it !
GundamWing is one of the sequels to the original anime Mobile Suit GundamWing. It is filled with action and some romance. I believe that this gundam sequel was the best one created. GundamWing is basically about 5 boys, Heero Yuui, Duo Maxwell, Trowa Barton, Quatre Rebarba Winner, and Chang Wufei. In AC (after colony) 195, an organization known as OZ tries to take full control of the space colonies and Earth. The Gundam Pilots (the ones I named) are sent to Earth in order to destroy OZ and the Romafeller Foundation. They face many hardships along the way. They stay on Earth shortly, and then return to the space. They are shocked to find out that the space colonies accepted OZ and are alos shocked to find out that they were ordered to be executed. The gundam pilots must now find a way to defeat OZ and the Romafellar Foundation ...
Advantages: Fantastic characters, great and original story line. Disadvantages: That the anime only covers so little of the manga story.
rare occasions where I preferred the English dub to the Japanese with English subtitles. Main reasons being that I disliked the Japanese cast for Yuki Sohma, and that the English cast did the series justice and didn't sound wooden at all.
Music: The background music (BGM) fit the series well, and is for the most part light and pleasant. Nothing special, though, even the opening and ending theme are non spectacular. So though it fits well, Fruits Basket isn't a series I would buy the soundtrack for.
Value for money: Amazing. Seriously, this disc has the first 6 half-hour episodes. It is a 26-part anime series, and fits on 4 discs total (you can also buy a special boxed set of the 4) whereas most 26-part series' can drag them out for 7 or even 8 if they're clever (a la Escaflowne).
From manga to anime: As with most anime series Fruits ...
Advantages: An easy to watch, compelling and uplifting series Disadvantages: A lack of action and adventure means it's not for everyone

Fruits Basket is based upon a manga series (Japanese comic books), also translated into English. The manga series is ongoing (currently around volume 10+ in English). The DVDs cover the first 7 or so mangas.
The DVDs start from scratch and there is no need to read the manga to understand the plot.

DVD Description
This incredibly popular extension of the venerable GUNDAM series has spawned a rabid following all over the globe. The series begins as the space colonies have grown tired of the oppressive rule by the Earth government, a corrupt organisation ruled by people who have no real interest in the colonists or their well-being. Their rule is unjust and unfair, but not unopposed... Resistance forces in the colonies have created five special Mobile Suits (robot-like vehicles) called Gundams. Five young pilots have been selected to sneak these Gundams down to Earth and begin a guerilla campaign that will end the Earth government's rule forever. Of course, there is also romance, albeit a rather strange one. A young woman, Relena, sees one of the Gundam pilot's faces, Heero, which is enough for him to threaten her life. However, a relationship forms between the two that causes problems for both of them. This collection includes the episodes The Shooting Star She Saw, 5 Gundams Confirmed, and more.
