Treadwell lived unarmed among the bears for thirteen summers and filmed his adventures in the wild during his final five seasons. In October 2003 Treadwell's remains along with those of his girlfriend Amie Huguenard were discovered near their campsite in Alaska's Katmai National Park and Reserve. They had been mauled and devoured by a grizzly the first known victims of a bear attack in the park. (The bear suspected of the killings was later shot by park officials.) Herzog plumbs not only the mystery of wild nature but also the mystery of human nature as he chronicles Treadwell's final years in the wilderness. Herzog uses Treadwell's own startling documentary footage to paint a nuanced portrait of a complex and compelling figure while exploring larger questions about the uneasy relationship between man and nature.

A passionate wildlife preservationist and grizzly bear devotee, Treadwell lived unarmed among the grizzlies in a remote section of Alaska for 13 years, and eventually died in a bear attack. He filmed his experiences during his final five years, and Herzog makes use of this footage in a posthumous portrait of a complex, intriguing character. A youthful blond actor turned nature lover, Treadwell is revealed over the course of the film to have been a troubled soul who found solace in the wild, and the existential questions and difficulties he faced in the world were, fascinatingly, worked out on film. Deftly interweaving Treadwell's quiet moments of nature appreciation with meandering introspection and alarmingly hostile rants, Herzog masterfully captures the enigma of the dead man. Herzog has a genuine appreciation of Treadwell's films, as well as sympathy for Treadwell's apparent ill peace with the world. Much of GRIZZLY MAN's complexity comes in our growing awareness of Timothy's apparent naivety, his need to see himself as a saviour, and his sentimentalising of nature. good and evil, but with cutting edge special effects and action scenes galore this is a great film to watch.
The blu-ray version i watched was a 2 disc set with the second disc full of extras. There was a section on the history of transformers, and interviews with executive producers Steven Spielberg and Brian Goldner, writers Alex Kurtzman and Robert Orci, and director Michael Bay. There were also features on the animation used and the way they worked out where to do scenes. You also get a look at the military equipment seen and used in the film.
This additional information is something you do not want to skip over, because it gives you a much deeper understanding of how much planning and work went into the final production. If you are into cutting edge special effects and head banging action then beg, borrow, rent, or if that fails buy ...

Yes Man- starring Jim Carrey and Zooey Deschanel is director Peyton Reed's next big film after Breakup.It seems romantic comedy is his thing and he certainly succeeds in achieving what he was set out to-to entertain the audience.
The basic premise of the film is quiet simple yet undeniably innovative.Carl is a loner,a divorced guy who would rather stay home and do nothing than going out and having fun with friends.The monotony of his life bogs him down and eventually makes him feel like a loser.He decides to participate in one of those seminars where he is made to vow to say "yes" to every question!
The whole idea did seem to be very thin to me initially.I thought this can't go on for long and would ultimately become boring.Kudos to the writing team to take the story forward in such a lovely manner,introducing new characters ...

Bolt is the latest movie made by Disney and so I decided to recently purchase this movie and see what all the fuss was about. This version was only a couple of quid more than the normal DVD and I purchased mine from TheHut (which I have reviewed very recently) and this includes the Blu-ray disc with special features, the film on DVD as well which is worth over £10 and a Rhino soft toy! (the excellent and very funny hamster in the movie) So I obviously decided to buy the Blu-ray!
