DVD Description
The true story of the enigmatic Archibald Belaney (Brosnan), an Englishman who moved to the Canadian wilds and reinvented himself as the Apache Indian "Grey Owl." Haunted by a mysterious past but inspired by the beauty of nature, Grey Owl rose to international fame during the 1930s as a pioneering voice of environmental conservation. ...in the form of a replica wand. This led to us re-watching the entire film with me waving my wand about like a loony.
Excuse me I seem to have digressed from the point, what was it again? Oh yes the DVD.
Well I think the film is fantastic! Whether your young or old I think everyone will get something from watching Harry Potter discover he is a wizard and explore his new magical world.
However, as with all DVD's it's the extra that are important.
The basic setup is solving puzzles to find deleted scenes from the film, but first you must go to Hogsmeade and buy your wizarding essentials.
Getting my gold from Gringotts bank was fairly easy. I had great time choosing a wand but when it came to getting an owl I was completely confused.
At the owl shop you could click on any paticular owl and information was given, yet the owl that I wanted...

Advantages: Humour, songs, educational Disadvantages: Short film
...The sword in the Stone is one of the great Disney classics, I enjoyed watching it as a child and still do as an adult. It is humorous, light hearted and you learn a bit about the history and legend of England.
The audience identifies with the young Arthur (Wart), as he goes about his self discovery as the true King of England with the help of Merlin the wizard and his pessimistic owl.
The story goes that Engand is in the dark ages, in desperate need of a righteous king to save the land. The true king will be identified by his strength to pull a magical sword from a stone. Merlin helps Arthur to realise that this strength is within him and not about muscle.
Disney has put a good spin on this story, making it accessible to all ages with humour, magic and songs. I would definitely reccomend this as a family DVD to buy, one of the lesser...
