up society held little appeal for this acclaimed beauty. She left for New York City and worked hard as a model, stage actor and TV player. And then she was discovered by Hollywood. In less than four years she was acknowledged as one of movie's most sought after stars and an Academy-Award winner, playing opposite some of the greatest leading men of her time. Suddenly, like a modern-day fairy tale, Grace Kelly turned her back on it all to become Her Serene Highness Princess Grace of Monaco. Now her story is told in home movies and clips from films like High Noon, Dial M For Murder, Rear Window, To Catch A Thief, and High Society. Also seen, touching and revealing glimpses from the magnificent wedding to the tragic end. Actors Jimmy Stewart, Louis Jourdan, Alec Guinness, Katy Jurado, with directors, producers, friends and Grace's sister, Lizanne, tell of the beautiful star who made the world her stage.

Advantages: Fun acting, excellent timing, beautiful setting, lots of laughs Disadvantages: No smell-o-vision!!!!! Too smooth an ending.
's expanded on this character from Saving Grace for his "Doc Martin" films/TV series). He is also in love with Nicky, while being in cahoots with Matthew in his illicit pot growing.
Set in picturesque Cornwall, Nigel Cole makes his big-screen film direction debut with this picture. Cole takes full advantage of all the possible twists a script like this can offer, and keeps the stereotypes to an absolute minimum - drawing upon them only when slapstick is the best medium for the joke at hand. Cole keeps gives every character an opportunity to be liked by the viewers - even if they are one of the 'bad guys'. Advantages: one of Hitchcock's most intriguing films Disadvantages: some of the scenes are blatantly faked
treats her like a naughty spoilt younger sister and doesn't really scold her for trying to cause Marnie misery.
One of the plot flaws which stood out a lot for me was Marnie's fear of the colour red, except she had no issues with wearing bright red lipstick. You see shots of her freaking out when she sees red flowers at her mother's house and a red shirt on a jockey and the screen goes completely red with Marnie on screen. These were cleverly done and the effect was to make the audience feel what Marnie was feeling and it worked! We all see red too! Tippi Hedren was well cast for the role, although GraceKelly was to have played the role originally, I can't quite imagine anyone else as effective in the role as Hedren was for me.
Other flaws which stood out greatly were when Marnie was riding her horse in several scenes, it's obvious ...

Advantages: If you already own any of these DVDs it will not be worth it Disadvantages: A great introduction to a great series.
The Ultimate goddesscollection is great for fans of the series,or anime fans in general it contains the first two DVDs of the series plus the Ah my Goddess movie which is great value.
This series is in beatuifully drawn anime style both background and characters are visually stunning. Whats more the storyline is very easy to get into, the first episode of the series shows how our hapless hero wishes a goddess to be his girlfriend. Well, in true anime style things do not go easy from then on in, drama and comedy ensues as he now has to cope with his goddess girlfriend and all of her goddess friends.
It is recomended to all newcomers that the Series DVDs are watched before the movie so it will make more sence. Buyers may also want to consider buying 'The adventures of Mini Goddess' for lighthearted chibi fun featuring ...
