Golf - Lower Your Handicap (DVD)

...As a golfer myself, I have watched countless DVD's about how to improve your swing, your game and even your fitness. I think that some of the DVD's are hopeless but David Leadbetter is the outright best golf coach on the planet. He has been voted the best and has sold the most golf related DVD's to help the average golfer's game. I have watched quite a few of David Leadbetter's DVD's and I have benefite from them alot. I was a 16 handicap and within a year I am down to a 7 handicap. I have not watched every part of the DVD but I watched the parts which I struggle at and it has helped a great deal to my game. If any kind of golfer wants to improve his game I would recommend this DVD or any kind of David Leadbetter DVD. They help alot with your golf.... Read review

Advantages: very cheap, they work, you can practice in the garden

...I have recently got back into golf again and played a few 9 hole rounds with friends, but I was very rusty as it has been a while! The main problem, as most players find when they play infrequently was my swing. One minute I'd completely slice the ball and the next hit a reasonable shot. The tee shots were the most annoying because they setup how the hole is going to pan out for you and most of the time I was leaving myself a lot to do. After playing a quite dissapointing round we had a look in the club shop to see what they had on offer. I noticed these airflow practice balls and they seemed like a fab training aid and something which should really help my swing. They are exactly the same size and dimension as a normal golf ball, but are of plastic construction and have airholes all over them, producing maximum drag from the moment... Read review

Advantages: Great cast, some wonderful improvised lines.
Disadvantages: Overall story doesnt quite work

...Christopher Guest will be forever known for two things.. first for being married to Jamie Lee Curtis and secondly for the film Spinal Tap, the seminal spoof rock documentary. Spinal Tap managed to root themselves in film, and heavy rock, folklore with some of the hilarious, seemingly spot on portrayals of a rock band. Even though Guest and compatriots have done better spoof films (Best In Show, about dog competitions like Crufts) Spinal tap has been heard of if not seen by a lot of people. FYC (For Your Consideration not Fine Young Cannibals!) is again written by Guest, along with frequent collaborator Eugene Levy (the dad in American Pie), and also directed by him. He again uses a lot of the ensemble of stars from his previous films, who are no doubt used to the improvisational style of his film making, including Parker Posey... Read review
