Review: The most comprehensive musical documentary in the history of American film, done full justice on DVD... (Total DVD, )
Advantages: Great Film, Good Plot, Great Actors Disadvantages: None
...The Godfather is an extremely good movie. As the movie progresses you start to think you know the characters: Don Vito Corleone, Michael Corleone, Johnny Fontaine, Tom Hagen, Connie Corleone, Fredo Corleone, Santino Corleone, and all the rest. When watching the movie I put myself in the Godfather’s position, and I saw how organized crime is truly run. It fascinated me how they could kill and not feel any emotion. There are some parts where you feel bad for Don Corleone: when his oldest son gets murdered, when he gets shot five times and survives, and when he finds out his good son joined the organization. This truly is a movie that you can watch over and over again. I recommend this highly, and it is truly one of Hollywood’s gems....

Advantages: A classic film with exceptional storylines Disadvantages: Might need subtitles to understand Marlon Brando's dialogue
...After watching the Godfather my world changed, not in a major way it didnt save my life but what it did was make me become fascinated with the mafia and gangster movies, which I now have many dvd's of.
The reason that I like the godfather so much is because the characters are exceptionally well written and while watching the film you seem to believe that you are part of the family and feel each characters emotions and always want them to succeed. I believe that the major characters in this movie are Marlon Brando as 'the Godfather' and Al Pacino as Michael Corleone, 1 of the Godfather's 3 genetic sons, he also has one adopted one.
The reason that they are the major characters are because they are the ones who you see facing the challenges and struggling with the problems so you feel for them, they also always want...

...Anyone who loves gangster fims or films in general, will find it hard to conprehend how brilliant the performances and direction of this film are.Al Pacino and Marlon Brando bring this epic tale of the Corleone mafia family alive.
Based on the Mario Puzo's novel "The Godfather", the film is set in the 1940's to 50's,we the viewer are thrown into the world of the mafia and the struggle between the different families to gain control of there residing area. Directed by Francis Ford Coppola which produces the best out of Al Pacino as Michael Corleone the youngest son of Don Vito Corleone (Marlon Brando) and the way he struggles to come to terms with his death and attempted murder.
One of the truly great films ever....
