The opinion I am writing about is Gloria Estefans, "Anything For You". I like this song because it was my first special song for me and my first girlfriend Gill when I was 15. We listened to it a lot during that year it was sort of an incentitive to keep talking and loving each other. I bought this song because I wanted to remember her for we broke up a year later. We drifted apart and ran out of things to say to each other, in other words ironically we stopped talking funny hey how things work out. I moved away to look after my alcoholic grandad with my mum and dad and well.... It was too far away from her so she finished with me :-(.. It's the type of song that reminds you of the good old days. Sort of like a walk down memory lane. When I saw this song listed on Ciao I knew I had to write about it. My days ...

Review of Anything For You - Gloria Estefan & Miami Sound Machine

Glorious Gloria

Advantages: Rich strong voice
Disadvantages: None

I have been a fan of Gloria Estefan for quite a few years now and saw her in concert in 1992. What a great night! She can sing so well live,no worries. She had the Miami Sound Machine behind her and the whole effect was amazing. I couldn't fault one single moment of it. She has the richness and quality you come to expect in a Latin singer and gives it her all. Cuts both ways is a great album, but then again all Gloria's albums are fantastic. One of my favourite songs is Oye Mi Canto sung in both English and Spanish (but Spanish is my favourite). Gloria came back from a serious injury in a coach crash where she was paralysed for a while, even stronger than ever. She is one amazing lady. ...

Gloria Fajardo was born in Cuba on September 1 1957, as a child she moved to Miami and cared for her sick Father, in the early 1970's she joined a band called The Miami Sound Machine comprising of Emilio Estefan, Juan Avila and Enrique 'Kiki' Garcia and in 1978 she married Emilio. In 1984 their first English-language single "Dr. Beat" was released and became a worldwide hit. In early 1990 while travelling to a concert on their tour bus they were hit by a truck from behind, resulting in Gloria's back being broken and she underwent surgery in which 2, 8 inch metal rods were inserted into her back, Emilio and their son Nayib were in the tour bus also and only recieved minor injurys, due to the crash Gloria was told she couldnt have any more children but due to fertility treatment she gave birth to Emily Marie Estefan on December 5 1994, ...
