The Midnight Warning is a 1932 film directed by Spencer Gordon Bennett
A famous nerve doctor is reading the paper in his hotel room when he is visited by his private detective friend, Cornish, who has lately solved a case that has made him famous. Mr. Doctor (We'll call the doctor Mr. Doctor for I can't remember his name) has found a human ear bone in the fire place and shows it to Cornish, at first of course they find it rather strange but don't look too much into it. The two men talk and joke when suddenly Mr. Doctor falls to the ground. Cornish calls the hotel staff and they bring the house medical staff. Advantages: Great animation and great humour! Disadvantages: None at all
After months of people telling me to see both the Toy Story films, I finally went out and bought the DVD boxset and what a buy it was!.
I'm not sure how much it's selling for in the UK, but I got both movies for £19.99 (futureent.com) imported on Region 1 DVD. There are two sets you can buy - the one I got which gives you a few extra features, such as out takes. And the second which comes with a 3rd disk filled with extra's, which I believe is £35 altogether.
I'm indifferent as to which is the better film, as I enjoyed both immensely. The animation is superb, and the humour is excellent. If you're one of these people who think cartoons are just for kids, then you'd be very wrong. Think Simpsons & Futurama humour and you'll know that much of their humour isn't really understood by kids.
