~ Loaded with Excitement ~
I rented the film loaded from love film last week and decided to write about it. I hadn't heard of the film before and it only caught my eye on love film website because I saw it had Vinnie Jones in it and love his films. The plot also sounded ok and I recognised some of the other actors but couldn't place where from.

Advantages: Visually stunning Disadvantages: Might be put off due to comparisons with a classic book
scores on, they might make schmaltzy films but the animation is always faultless, WB seem to have cracked this. There is also a great deal of computer animation in the film but this is seamlessly mixed into the film, items such as cars and tanks, even the Iron Giant himself all look like working, moving objects. The use of computers in animation is often hit and miss because the objects created by the computers look too generated and stand apart lacking the “blackline” used in traditional animation. Though they look like real objects the rest of the film is clearly a cartoon, this can be seen in films like Titan AE, very nice space ships but it’s a cartoon!! The Iron Giant looks like a cartoon throughout.
Music is another thing which adds texture to the film, not only in the excellent score provided by Michael Kamen ...
Advantages: Straightforward and engaging Disadvantages: None
-establishmentarianism. Teachers and parents couldn't understand what was happening as guys dropped out of the basketball team to pursue something which didn't actually have a specific end-point or reason.
But that was the whole point.
Chief amongst the vanguard was Greg Noll, a thick-set guy who looks totally at home in the 50s, and was generally regarded as the best big wave surfer of his time (and also something of a businessman as he set up his own surfboard factory and outlets). The original footage is typically 50s grainy, backed up with numerous photos of their exploits. And what comes over most is that this was just a gang out to have fun (and who, incidentally, hated Hollywood latching onto surfing and making it all seem sweetness and light with girlfriends on shore worried about their loved one wiping out).
Moving onto the 70s there is an explosion ...
