Gia is a true story, based on the life and times of Gia Marie Carangi- a young beautiful girl who was thrown into the deep end of the life of a supermodel. It began as a true cinderella story- a girl who hadn't much money and worked in her father's burger bar suddenly and seemingly overnight being transformed into this internation icon. However, the sotry doesn't maintain such a ideal tone... as before long Gia is exposed to the world of Drugs, Sex and Needles.
This story shows us that the world of Supermodels isn't all fancy restaurants and designer clothes. The pretty pictures we see aren't always the truth.
This was possibly Angelina's first claim to fame. Her acting abilities are demonstrated to the max. I would really recommend this as a film to definately get and watch.
