Advantages: Great love story Disadvantages: will make you cry

Ghost is one of the most moving films I have ever watched, it makes me cry every time I watch it. A love story about life and death, about the importance of saying goodbye to your love ones and making each day count by telling them how you feel before it’s too late. Story:
Molly Jenson (Demi Moore) and Sam Wheat (Patrick Swayze) are a young couple who are very much in love, having just bought an apartment together they are ... ...and entertaining. He meets another ghost on the tube and together they start moving objects around. The acting in the movie id excellent, it must have been very hard as they need to do lot of reacting to things as apposed to interacting, because Sam is a Ghost he cannot be seen and he is unable to physically touch anyone. Characters: Molly Jenson is played by the very talented Demi Moore; Molly is an artiste/sculpture, she is desperately in love ...

Advantages: Good story, Disadvantages: A little bit dated in places
...to think that the film Ghost starring Patrick Swayze was made 17 years ago but when I sat down and watched it on the TV the other night this became apparent for two different reasons. Firstly there is no denying that in places this film now seems to be a little bit dated, whilst secondly I was amazed how little of the film I actually recalled from having originally first seen it all those years ago.
Ghost is primarily a love story but this is a ... ...his body and become a ghost looking at his distraught girlfriend but powerless to comfort or help or to even let her know that he is OK. From this point onwards we see Sam all around the house, with Molly at work and watching her wherever she goes but she is unaware of his presence. It soon however becomes apparent to Sam that his death was no unlucky act, but instead that it was pre-planned and furthermore it seems that their best friend, Carl Bruner ...

Advantages: It is suitable for all ages and both sexes Disadvantages: Just too neat at times
2003 sees this film become a teenager, in terms of age I must add, as it was made in 1990, and was the runaway hit of that year. It looks at the subject of death, and is there life on the 'other side', but I must add that it is approached from an emotional level rather than having any scientific fact to back it up, which some viewers may find a little hard to swallow, and admittedly, I was one of those people who thought that this film wsa only famous ... ...and Demi Moore make a suggestively shaped vase on a potters wheel with 'Unchained Melody' playing in the background.
At the start of the film, we are introduced to Sam Wheat (Patrick Swayze) and Molly Jensen (Demi Moore). They are a couple 'on their way up' with good jobs and a new apartment. They are successful in their chosen fields, have a wide circle of good friends, and they are madly in love with each other, and have finally decided to commit ...

...this category. Ghost was made in 1990 and this year it would actually be old enough to watch itself at the cinema and when made was the successful film of the year winning five Academy Award nominations, but only 1 winner on the night with Best Supporting Actress for Whoopi Goldberg. Advantages: Romantic, funny in parts Disadvantages: Tear-jerking, a bit slow in parts
As the television producers insist on putting utter tripe on the T.V these days, I decided to have a mooch around in my DVD collection, I came across “Ghost”, I hadn’t seen this film in ages and I had forgotten what the story was about, so I decided I would watch this instead of watching another soap!
This is a true tear-jerker, I was sobbing like a baby at the end, so I recommend you buy a family sized box of tissues beforehand! ... ...film Dirty Dancing) are absolutely amazing together, and Whoopi Goldberg (from Sister Act) is, as usual, very entertaining, Whoopi Goldberg even won Best Supporting Actress at the Academy Awards for her performance.
This film is rated as a 15, but it has hardly any bad language, so it can be watched with the rest of the family, it can be brought from all good video stores, as well as the major supermarkets for about £15.99, but sometimes WHSmiths ...

...When my flat mate and i decided to watch this film i thought it would be really scary but it isn't.
It is about a family whose uncle has died and has left them his house. the family then move in to the house which is very big and magnificent but in the lower floor of the house there are ghosts locked up in rooms but they start getting released and are after the family as the father is next in line to become the thirteenth ghost.
I expected the film to be very scary but it wasn't scary at all. Some of the ghosts look quite gruesome and slightly scary but not like you would expect. A lot of the film is set in a very dark setting which adds to the mood and feel of the film.
If you are looking for a scary film that will make you scream and hide behind your bed sheets then this is not the film for you....

After renovating their expensive loft in the TriBeCa section of Manhattan, Molly and Sam, a young successful yuppie couple, are walking home one evening when Sam is tragically gunned down by a street mugger. Molly goes into a deep depression, but, unknown to her, Sam has come back as a ghost in order to protect her from danger--although he isn't yet aware who or what means her harm, and he has a lot of learning to do in order to make himself known to her. He teams up with an unwilling psychic, and together they try to convince a very skeptical Molly that Sam was actually murdered and has returned spectrally to complete some unfinished business. Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore are excellent as the couple, and Whoopi Goldberg won an Oscar for her portrayal of the wild and wacky psychic. GHOST is considered by many to be one of the most romantic films of the 1990s.
