For years hollywood has told us that they are making scary films. Horror film buffs, like myself would come out the cinema disappointed. But not with this one!!
The plot is amazing. It has amazing twists, and captavates its audience. The only disappointing thing is the ending, the last two minutes are cheesy and kind of predictable.
The actors were really believable. They were really believable.
The dialogue was original, witty and captivating. The director and actors have put alot of work to bringing the script to life.
The special FX were great. I haven't seen much films on that budget come out with special FX like this. They were top notch.
The only major disadvantage is that its too scary to watch alone and your mind runs away before you can stop it.
The plot is that a little boat finds an empty liner and they want to get money for returning it. The cast is picked off one by one, in very humerous and original ways. I don't want to reveal too much as it will ruin it for you but the plot does keep you interested as you are always guessing that will happen next. Who will be the next victim?
The ending is a cliff hanger so we might see a ghost ship 2!!
It is a safe bet to say that the cruise ship industry will fail, because after seeing that film i bet you wont step foot on a cruise ship again!!!

I love horror films but I am yet to be scared by one. The most recent I have been quite disappointed by. But maybe i'll give this one a go. Cheers!

Advantages: Excellent scary movie, with plenty of funny moments thrown in. Disadvantages: there are a lot of this type of film about, so this may get lost in the mix.

Review of Ghost Ship (DVD)
Advantages: You can laugh at your 'I'll look after you' boyfriend when he jumps at the first sign of anything gruesome. Disadvantages: Its winter, they're in Arctic waters, they're in the middle of the ocean, yet this silly girl seems happy waltzing around in a little t-shirt rather than a jumper. Hmm.
