Advantages: New(ish) Eddie. Disadvantages: Not great Eddie.
...The plot of BCC is simple: the Blackadder family has somehow managed to produce a single Edmund who is neither a snivelling wretch nor a caustic-tongued cad - however, the world treats this particular one as uniformly badly as it has the rest regardless, his endless generosity taken endless advantage of by selfish widows and orphans alike. Much like Ebeneezer Scrooge, however, Blackadder is visited by a ghost: accidentally, as this Blackadder is a lovely human being. The ghost (who looks remarkably like Robbie Coltrane) shows him the dark doings of the other Blackadders through history regardless, and our Edmund learns a valuable lesson: bastards have more fun. And so on Christmas morning, he sets out to make everyone else as miserable as they've made him.
Whilst it's certainly fun to catch up with various members of the Blackadder...
