This disc is a bit of a mishmash of odd episodes, one is chronically boring but deadly important, another involves a giant blue tank bot pretending to be a dog. Also includes a Tachicoma ... ...including only the tachicoma's.
09.CHAT! CHAT! CHAT!
Doesn't this title sound truly breathtaking? This could be one of the most exciting episodes ever seen on Japanese television.
Though sadly in reality it's not, it is in fact the most boring episode from this series. There is another nut cracking example of such tedium but only in the next series. In this awful episode of mindless gibberish we have the 'laughing ... more

09.CHAT! CHAT! CHAT! Doesn't this title sound truly breathtaking? This could be one of the most exciting episodes ever seen on Japanese television.
Though sadly in reality it's not, it is in fact the most boring episode from this series. There is another nut cracking example of such tedium but only in the next series. In this awful episode of mindless gibberish we have the 'laughing man' history explained to us, so maybe this is not a mindless episode, maybe its very very clever, unfortunately it uses Japanese logic in many places which just doesn't translate. After saying this I will also say one other important thing. You need to watch this episode to make the series understandable in any way. So your going to have to suffer through this one.
Moving swiftly on.
10.JUNGLE CRUISE After that rather negative statement I just made, im going to try to make it up to you by telling you about this very good episode. There is a killer on the loose, the only thing is he skins his victims alive and thats what kills them. Through this investigation we find out a little bit more about Batou's past and find out that he knows who the murder is and why hes doing it. The CIA are involved and theres some good shananagins with guns and some chases in sewers. Overall a good episode, they manage to avoid showing most of the graphic scenes they could have used for the murders and only show something blurry in the background on an onscreen monitor.
11.PORTRAITZ We return to the case of the 'laughing man', this time our intrepid do gooders from section 9 go to investigate an asylum which has been identified as playing a part in the 'laughing mans' activities in the past. So Togusa is sent to find out more about how the place runs, who runs it and who lives in it. In the process he has a fight with a very large cyborg.
12.ESCAPE FROM This is an interesting episode in some respects. A Tachicoma goes off into the wide world alone and finds a child, while pretending to be that child's lost(dead) dog it finds a cyberbrain and gets a virus from it. Some time passes, it turns out that the virus was not actually a virus but the soul of a film director that sucked peoples conciousness into itself and persuaded them to stay to watch his old films.
