Advantages: Great value for money. Disadvantages: Not the greatest packaging in the world
...A classic Saturday Matinee style trilogy that has something for all the family. Raiders of the Lost Ark is without doubt the stronger of the three films, George Lucas and Steven Speilberg losing the plot a little with the more child friendly Temple of Doom before getting back on track with the thoroughly entertaining Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. The Extras on DVD weighing in a massive 184 minutes of interesting material a film geeks dream. The transfer quality is excellent as is the new Dolby Digital 5.1 soundtrack, shame there is no DTS soundtrack though. If you are a fan of this genre movie it would be a crime not to own the Indiana Jones Trilogy BoxedSet, worth it's weight in Ancient Inca gold....

Advantages: A Steven Spielberg masterpiece, accessible to all Disadvantages: If you're dead, you can't watch it.
.... The film is also very moving in a couple of places but is not so sentimental as to marr the film, simply add to its impact. Rightly proclaimed as a masterpiece and hugely financially successful this film is a perfect example of getting the balance right.

Amazingly, Spielberg managed to improve this most splendid movie in the special edition version which featured new scenes, some pacing changes, additional and enhanced special visual effects and restored and new sound effects and music. The three-disc DVD set is an absolute dream as it contains the original theatrical release, the new 20thAnniversary edition with a standard soundtrack and, remarkably, a live orchestral performance soundtrack (!) and a third disc containing a quality making-of doc and a talking heads piece where everyone says how amazing E.T. is. Which it is.

Advantages: A nice Jaws Imitation Disadvantages: Too long and quite disturbing.
...plays the role of Steven; he seems to play much of the movie in a bit of a huff. Mind you its not surprising as all he wants out of life is love and it’s taken from him several times, but not always by death you’ll be happy to hear. Mike is played by Andreas Garcia who has made well over 100 Mexican movies, most of which are wrestling related pictures; his portrayal of Mike is a good one, he is fairly offensive and you never really make any form of bond with him. Susan George seems to have aged alarmingly in the 5 years between Straw Dogs and Tintorera, you can see the shocking arrival of jowls around her mouth. Her performance is ever so slightly wooden, seemingly playing for a theatre audience instead of a cinema audience; a strange thing to point out is that while Steven and Mike acknowledge the fact that Gabriella (George) is British, she...
