So what is Gavin and Stacey about, i hear you shout. Well it's pretty much about two young people who meet, fall in love and get married, with plenty of ups and downs along the way.

It's a very well made British comedy. Written by James Corden and Ruth Jones, who also star in the comedy themselves. In my personal opinion, it's one of the best British comedys of recent years, as i think a few British comedys lack what Gavin and Stacey has to offer, it has none of that dreadful canned laughter, and actually has a lovely story behind it, not none of this gag-after-gag-after-gag stuff. Gavin and Stacey has laugh out loud humour throughout, but then at the same time has very touching, warm moments. To be honest with you, it's easy to just read a script and say the lines out loud, anyone can do it, like i've seen on many other shows. But with Gavin and Stacey, whenever anyone reads the script, you feel they mean everything they say, you feel they are that character, and thats what makes me love this show even more. It has truly got a fantastic cast with great acting, great scripts, and perfect timing.
So the two DVD's come in their own seperate boxes, (series one has one disc and series two has 2 discs) and they're both in the boxset box. The boxset displays all of the main characters on the front. On the back is a brief description about both series, which i shall go into a bit more detail later on.
*MEET AND GREET*
So who are the characters?
Gavin - played by Matthew Horne Stacey - played by Joanna Page Nessa - played by Ruth Jones, Stacey's best friend Smithy - played by James Corden, Gavin's best friend Pam - played by Allison Steadman, Gavin's mum Mick - played by Larry Lamb, Gavin's dad - Gwen - played by Melanie Walters, Stacey's mum - loves her omlettes Bryn - played by Rob Brydon, Stacey's uncle, great naive
All of the characters are true to life, sometimes exaggerated, but i bet you know someone who is like at least one of the characters.
*BRIEF OUTLINE*
I Won't go into too much detail, for issue of spoilers, i will just give a brief outline.

After some time Gavin and Stacey decide to get married, but are at logger heads of where they're going to live, both wanting to live in their home towns, que the chaos.
