...I have been a member of Gala bingo website for about 6 months now. I was introduced by my mum. The sign up offer was fantastic - I deposited £10 and once I had played with that I got another £10, and so did my mum. As I had never played online bingo before I tagged my mum around the site. She advised me to play from 8pm - 10pm in Island as most of the games were for 2p and 5p tickets and were BOGOF - so I bought a strip per game. Lo and behold on my second night at Gala I won full house and had the fantastic sum of £120. I was able to withdraw £100 of this, and I carried on playing with the remaining £20. Over the following 2 months I won over £300 in total. I would say I had deposited maybe £50 to win this? ...Bingo was always known as a pensioner's day out, not any more!! I normally go to bingo once a week and was very surprised by the amount of young people that go. Gala, Boreham Wood. The Gala in Boreham Wood was re-furbished and re-opened in January 2006. It is just off the high street, with parking for around about 150 cars. Parking is free from 6.30pm, in a well lit car park. It is easy to get to by public transport from the surrounding areas, and a main link train station. As you walk in there is a reception deck for new members to apply, which is free and can be done on the day that you wish to play, however you must be 18, as it is classed as gambling. Advantages: 15 tracks!
Disadvantages: Most of which were already available

...Gala isn't an original album as such its actually a compilation of several EP's Lush had already released which were the Sweetness & Light EP, the Mad Love EP and the Scar EP. It featured 1 totally new track, an ABBA cover and a track that had previously been available on an NME cover cd. As it predates all their other "official" albums by 2 years you can think of it as their "first" album. Lush were around during the 1990s as part of the shoegazer movement & at the time of this "album" consisted of Emma Anderson & Miki Bereyni who both sang, played guitar and also wrote words and music. Standing behind and to the side of them were Steve Rippon who played bass (I guess Phil King hadn't replaced him yet?) and Chris Acland who played drums, his tragic death led to the eventual break up of the band.
