Initially Walden's American voice comes across as monotonous, and Brits might find her evangelical tone off-putting. I've been practising yoga for a number of years. I go to a yoga class but in between classes I like to practise at home. I find it easier to motivate myself yo practise if I put on a DVD. This DVD takes you through the daily dozen" - essentially 12 yoga postures. The explanations are very thorough and it would be difficult to get it wrong if you follow the instructions. The presenter Sarah Ivanhoe does talk a lot and I tend to fast forward through the talking as I've heard it several times. There's an addtional section at the end which teaches the Salute to the Sun. This is an excellent DVD. Very good value for money. You can mix and match the postures by selecting a different set of postures each day. ...

This DVD is perfect for Beginners and especially for those over 40, as many of the other 'ASANAS or Postures, mentioned in most other DVDs are meant for younger and fitter people...whereas the Aasanas shown here are easy to follow for anyone regardless of age...
The instructions by the Yoga Master is very helpful ...

I started practising yoga last January. Geri yoga was the first yogaDVD that I brought, and it offered a good introduction to many of the yoga postures. The introduction is useful to learn the breathing, and principles behind yoga. For the first few weeks (and months) flexibility was a major obstacle. However, if you listen to your body, and only do as much as you can without pushing yourself, then your overall fitness level will improve from yoga. Last year, I was unable to do many of the postures. Through regular practice, I can now achieve all of the poses. After practising yoga about 2 or 3 times a week, I soon began to feel the difference. Never force your body to do anything in yoga, if it hurts then stop. If you don’t listen to your body you will cause yourself serious injuries.
