Mr Bean - The Animated Series - Vol. 1 DVD

Advantages: distracts the children
Disadvantages: not funny, humour very simple and mostly slapstick or toilet houmour.

and has ruined the image of Mr Bean for me. At first I was curious and quite excited - I had hoped the comedy would be on the same lines as the original but I was wrong. The soundtrack is mostly orchestral with symbols, drums and flutes to emphasise dramtic turn arounds and Beans thoughts. The vocals, as the televised original series is basically mumbles and whimpers with the odd 'ooooo' sound. Another thing that irritates me is the fact that they have tried to modernise him and have given him a girl friend, not that that ever get together, lord no, what would happen to teddy, where would he sleep!? Irma Gobb is more a romantic interst whom Bean tries to impress, but rarely suceeds. In this single DVD volume you get 8 episodes, each lasting about 15minutes in length and include; 'In The Wild', 'Missing Teddy', 'No Parking', 'Bean's Bounty ...

Jim Henson's Fraggle Rock Let Music Play Vol1 DVD

Advantages: great music, acting and storyline
Disadvantages: only two episodes on this one dvd, and they cut the tune!

Isn't it wonderful when those child hood memories come back to you, and whats even better is when they are in snazzy updated (graphics and sound wise anyway) version, such as this dvd. Fraggle rock, as most can remember was another genius creation from Jim Henson. For those out of the loop, or are lucky enough to be too young to remember, he's the same man who is responsible for the existence of the muppets, sesame street and of course - the fraggles! COST: £4.99 PLACE OF PURCHASE: eBaY CERTIFICATE: U NUMBER OF DISCS: 1 REGION: 2 This DVD contains 2 episodes which are run back to back which cuts on time and makes the whole running only 48 minutes in length. What they've done with the orginal format is quite displeasing actually, although this version is less fuzzy than the vhs one they've cut down the episodes so that theres ...

Hed Kandi - World Series Vol 1

Advantages: Some good dance tracks across genres
Disadvantages: Not as good as some of their other compilations

vocals, I preferred the beat behind it to the vocals (as opposed to the reverse on Rock Tha House) although the chorus was catchier. Falling Star by Starchaser featuring Steve Edwards had a reggae beat, I quite liked it, but am still waiting for the outstanding track of the disc?.Erick Morillo, Harry Romero & Jose Nunez featuring Jessica Eve's track Dancin' was not what I was looking for, nor was DJ Flex's Amazin'. The intriguingly named Pussy Dub Foundation could possible have made their track Make the World Go Round better by adding a more interesting beat or not having a woman talk all over it. Sunset Freakz' Back to the Island would go down well late at night in Ibiza, doesn't have an annoying woman talking over it and a better beat. House Music Baby from Heavy Rotation was another good club tune, but I can only think that they have ...
