Production Year: 2001 - Drama - Director: Phil Alden Robinson, Richard Loncraine, Mikael Salomon, David Nutter, Tom Hanks, David Leland, David Frankel, Tony To - Original Language: English - Classification: 15 years and over
Advantages: Cracking, action filled, yet thought provoking film Disadvantages: Of perhaps limited appeal to non-science fiction fans. Somewhat violent in places
...would not appeal as much to those folks who don't enjoy science fiction. It is full of action, and has some violence (though I personally don't think it deserves the 15 rating). It can be confusing, especially in the first half hour, to those who have never seen Firefly - and especially to those who have never heard of it. Some people might find the Western settings and language a bit hokey.
The film is about 2 hours long. I did not, however, find the time dragging, and I didn't look at my watch once. I am very pleased I saw Serenity in the cinema on the big screen, as it is big in scope and panoramic. Having said that, I surely hope that this comes out on DVD in the not too distant future.
In short, this has been the best science fiction film I have seen in a very, very long time (even beating most of the Star Trek franchise, would...

Advantages: fun, motivating, works. Disadvantages: Takes lots of motivation to exercise alone at home.
...is Tae means "foot and leg" in Korean, and Bo is a shortened version of Box.
Below is Billy's interpretation of the letters that spell the word, these are copied directly from the website.
T =Total commitment to whatever you do
A =Awareness of yourself and the world
E =Excellence, the truest goal in anything you do
B =The body as a force for total change
O =Obedience for your will and your true desire for change.
There is some information about Billy Blanks and his really exciting exercise regimen on his website, I am not reviewing the man himself but one DVD so include the website address and will say no more.

The DVD case is yellow, with a nice picture of Billy on the front, all rippling muscles in little shorts and a white vest.
It states that "Tae Bo is the future...

Advantages: It is Star Trek for Trekkies Disadvantages: Kirstie Alley's performance
...are a bit of a let down as far as Star Trek goes but I suppose in 1982 they didnt really think about what would happen to the film 24 years into the future. I would have liked to have seen more in the way of interviews with cast members or a short documentary on the making of the film.

Advantages: Great coverage, good narrative content Disadvantages: Price
...A great DVD which delves into the world of the african predator on the plains of the serangehetti and other locations. Narrative content was precise, informative and extremely educational, I would recommend this DVD to any teachers who are looking to inspire young minds and hopefully create zoologists of the future!
The soundtrack is loud in places, but adds to the overall dramatic effect especially during the chases between the leopard and the Thompson Gazel. All in all a very enjoyable natural history program, although David attenborough narration would have made the overall dramatic effect and content a whole lot better! In addition the coverage made in this relatively short film is amazing and is a true credit to the discovery channel....

...This is a great movie. It is the kind of movie you could watch over and over again and never get bored watching. The film stars Michael J Fox and Christopher Lloyd.
The setting for this film is the town of Hill Valley.
The story all starts when Marty Mcfly (Michael J Fox) meets up with his mad scientist friend Doc Brown(Christopher Lloyd) who reveals to him his Time Machine build out of a car which when driven at 88 mph transports you back or forward through time depending on which date you have set it to go to.
To cut a long story short Marty Mcfly ending up getting stranded in 1955 alone after witnessing Doc Brown being shot by Libions. Marty escapes in the car and ends up in the past where he meets up with his future parents and also the young doc from 1955 who helps him get back to the future.
One of the highlights from...

Advantages: A good introduction to some seldom seen films. Disadvantages: Presentation tends to be superficial with too much emphasis on film trailers.
...I purchased this DVD produced by Laserlight as a taster of 50's musicals. There is certainly lots packed on this DVD. If you enjoy seldom seen cinema trailers, then this is for you. Many artists feature , such as Gene Kelly , Debbie Reynolds , Donald O'Connor and Fred Astair , my own particular favourite. The section on Fred Astair is worth the budget price of £9.99 alone. In one sequence , making use of , for the time , high tech camera trickery, Fred dances across the walls and ceiling. My only grouse with the DVD is that the sequences in the main programme are too short. Stick with the supplementary menus on featured artists and be selective and this is well worth adding to your collection. On the whole , I was slightly disappointed with the package as a whole which I feel could have been better done considering that there are many fans...
