Advantages: Funnier than the first series, Plenty of episodes to watch, Sarcastic sense of humour, Can watch the episodes over again. Disadvantages: Quite pricey if you pay full price, Can't watch each episode consecutively without going through the menus, Alhough good, the special features are not the kind of thing you'll view more than once.
...less familiar with the series, Futurama is a cartoon set in the future. Created by Matt Groening (the creator of The Simpsons), Futurama centres around the fact that one particular character, Philip J Fry (notice the same middle 'name' as Homer?) was accidentally cryogenically frozen on New Year's Eve 1999 when he fell into the freezing unit whilst delivering a pizza. He was awoken 1000 years later in New New York City to find that many things had ... ...turn into a review of Futurama in general rather than the Series 2 boxset.

Anthology Of Interest Review ofFuturama - Series 2 - Complete (Animated) (Box Set)by

Advantages: Continuing the hilarious futuristic comedy Disadvantages: No 'Play All' option on the discs
...some use!
------------------------------------------------------
Futurama is an animated comedy, (or 'cartoon' if you prefer) created by 'The Simpsons' creator Matt Groening. Following the non-hero Fry, (a 20th century pizza-boy who was frozen in time for 1000 years) and his weird and wonderful friends and co-workers of the intergalactic delivery service 'Planet Express', Bender, a robot designed for bending girders; Leela, a cyclops who doesn't ... ...I think what separates Futurama from similar shows, (more recent episodes of 'The Simpsons', 'Family Guy', etc.) is that there is much more scope for new and off-the-wall ideas which help keep the show from wallowing in its own success and prevent it from becoming too reliant on particular jokes or themes in order to get a laugh. Innovation rather than regurgitation help to keep the show and episodes fresh and entertaining in my opinion.
I can't ...

Advantages: Fantastic - As good as Season 1 Disadvantages: No Play All (not that much of a problem)
A Futurama return with its second series, and it's just as good as the first. Full of laughter, weird and wonderful anecdotes it couldn't have been much better. After the First Acclaimed season Futurama adds another 19 half hour packed episodes.
I have already reviewed the First Season so will not go into detail on the specifics of what makes the show but what makes this season so good. The basic story is that Fry (21st century pizza boy who has ... ...Awww ... Mothers Day, Futurama has gone sentimental .... erm no, in fact Mom of Moms Friendly Robot Factory tries to take over the world - only her old love The professor can save us - Some horrible images of two old people .... at it - Still funny though
The Problem With Popplers
I love this Episode. Planet Express imports a tasty food product only to find out they are the offspring of the Omocronions (Powerful Alien Race) . They threaten to devour ...

Advantages: Great Price, great box-set. Disadvantages: Some extras and episodes are weak.
...Futurama…
***THE BACKGROUND***
Futurama Season Two carries on the Adventures of the Planet Express crew and their various adventures around the universe. In case you didn’t catch my review of the Season One box-set the characters details are below:
Philip J. Fry, known simply as Fry to his friends was a drop-out in the year 1999 and, through an accident with a cryogenic freezer, is a drop-out in the year 3000. A pizza delivery boy with a lousy ... ...and ‘The Cryogenic Woman’.
Futurama is still as funny as it ever was and still, in my opinion, a much better all round show than The Simpsons ever was.
A must for any fan of animated series and a must for any self-respecting fan of Futurama itself – indispensable entertainment on four shiny discs.
Again, some of the extras – as with Season One – are a bit pointless. The Alien alphabet is the most pointless of the lot and the deleted scenes, although ...

Advantages: Clever, witty, great animation Disadvantages: Not for everyone, sometimes to sci-fi'y
Futurama is an interesting show, because had it been released as Matt Groening’s first show instead of the Simpsons it would have probably got a wider audience. This way people could refer to it as Matt’s first try at animation, which eventually evolved into Simpsons and appreciate it more. Sadly it is the other way around, and I think that is one of the reasons why people haven’t quite warmed up to the. It does have a cult following in way but is ... ...for everyone. I personally prefer Futurama since I find it’s more witty and clever than any Simpsons episode I’ve seen so far.
Plot:
The second season picks up pretty much where the first one left off. All the main characters are back, including Fry, the 20th century delivery boy, Leela, the one-eyed delivery ship captain, Professor, the mad inventor and leader of the PlanetExpress delivery company and of course Bender, the loveable alcoholic thieving ...
