Advantages: Jason Scott Lee, very entertaining Disadvantages: None
...are equally balanced and not overly dwelt upon, that helps to make this film more entertaining than just a look at Bruce Lee's life.
Of course, you could not have a movie about a martial arts legend, without karate kicking fight scenes to demonstrate what made him the legend that he was. I was actually surprised by not only the quality of these scenes but also the quantity of them. I had half expected to not enjoy this movie, as I feared it would be one fight sequence after another with no real story, but the fight scenes, although numerous, are used only to demonstrate what made Bruce a legend and work in unison with the story. The quality of these fight sequences are truly reminiscent of Bruce Lee in many of his films such as Enter the Dragon and Fist of Fury. Not only have they been choreographed in the same manner that Bruce fought...

Advantages: Everything you need to know about Billy Fury. Disadvantages: It's still not long enough!!!!
...This is a fabulous biography of 60s rocker Billy Fury. I've been a fan since I was nine years old and I was over the moon when this was released. For any fan, the recent Billy Fury revival - the release of this DVD and the accompanying CD entering the Top 20 - has been a long time coming and I for one am over the moon that he seems to be being recognized once again.
The DVD has 20 chapters spanning Billy's life and career from the early years in 1940s Liverpool to his death in 1983. It includes information about the music scene in general in the 60s and of Billy's specific place in what is now rock and roll history. It tells of his first audition, his work for Larry Parnes and his friendships with his peers at the time. It details his recordings, his tours and his movies with lots of little anecdotes from his friends, family...

Advantages: Some good gags. Disadvantages: There are more misses than hits and director and star are off their game.
...absurdities, such as English subtitles for Chinese spoken language which are followed by Chinese subtitles for English. It harks back to movies like "Airplane!" But there are more misses than hits in terms of jokes. Garant's timing is often sloppy as he lets jokes go on too long and he cuts the music so you can hear them, which makes too much of some of them. Many of the sight gags are too obvious, such as the slapstick involving blind table tennis guru Mr Wong. You know he's going to walk into things and fall down an open lift shaft.
Spoof is layered upon spoof with Bruce Lee movies featuring most heavily in both the training sequences and in the set-up of Feng's lair. Okay, it's not on an island, but it is basically the villain's den from "Enter the Dragon". Obviously the courtesans the bad guy offers are men and there are armies of men...
